Lights of Hope
University of Tennessee's IARC 422 Inclusive and Exclusive Design program
Since 2023, UT's IARC 422 class "Inclusive and Exclusive Design" has worked with The Flatiron and addicts and alcoholics in the community with a light design program.
Every year, design students interview addicts in the community and research addiction recovery and then design lights for us with themes based on hope and recovery from the disease of addiction.
We then auction these lights off to members of the community and supporters of The Flatiron, a 501(c)3 nonprofit recovery clubhouse.
